Rescue and Rehoming

Why African Grey Parrots?

African Grey Parrots are one of the most intelligent and emotionally complex bird species, known for their remarkable ability to mimic human speech and communicate with their owners. However, their advanced cognitive abilities require specialized care and attention, making them particularly vulnerable to neglect or mistreatment if not properly cared for.

Here’s why they need rescue and rehabilitation services:

African Grey Parrots are highly intelligent, with cognitive abilities comparable to a 5-year-old human child. This intelligence requires mental stimulation and social interaction.

These parrots can live up to 60 years or more in captivity, meaning adopting an African Grey requires a long-term commitment.

African Greys are particularly sensitive to changes in their environment and require consistent, positive interactions
