Hi, I’m Polly, a friendly and affectionate Orange Wing Amazon believed to be in my late teens. I have so much love to give and am looking for a special home where I can thrive!

My Personality & Quirks

💛 I’m friendly and trusting—I’ll take treats from your hand and, once I feel comfortable, I’ll step up, give kisses, and even bow my head for scritches.
🚪 I need plenty of out-of-cage time—I get stressed if I’m locked away for too long, which can lead to feather plucking. I still pluck even when I’m out, but being confined makes it worse.
💃 I love to dance! When I get excited, I’ll have a little boogie—and yes, sometimes I scream too! If you leave me alone for too long, I’ll give you a little shout to remind you I’m still here.
👀 Despite my plucked chest, legs, back, and wings, I am still absolutely beautiful! My Safehouse mum says I have the prettiest eyes, and I even wolf whistle and make kissy noises when she tells me so.

Things I Love

🗣️ Saying “Hello” and playing peek-a-boo.
🎶 Listening to other birds—I don’t mind them as long as they keep to themselves.
🦴 Making squeaky toy noises—I love tricking the chihuahuas in my home!
💕 Being spoken to, getting compliments, and spending time with my humans.

My Ideal Home

🏡 Someone with time to spend with me—I don’t need constant attention, but I do love company.
🦜 Other birds are okay as long as they give me space.
🚫 No young children or overly busy environments—I do best with calm, patient people.

I have never bitten anyone in my Safehouse! If I want to be left alone, I’ll simply give a gentle warning, and as long as my boundaries are respected, I’m a sweet and loving companion.

My Safehouse mum adores me and wishes she could keep me forever, but due to her health, she wants to find me a loving home that can provide the long-term care I need. Could that be you?
