Meet Garry & Mojo – A Colorful Pair with a Tale to Tell

Hey there, folks! I’m Garry, the dashing blue Indian Ringneck, and I’m here to share my story—a tale of fate, friendship, and the incredible journey I’ve had with my green lady, Mojo. We didn’t start our journey together, but destiny had other plans, and now we’re inseparable.

Let’s start with the basics. I have quite the reputation as a chatty fellow—I love blowing kisses, saying hello, calling my own name, and whistling tunes. While flying is my greatest passion, I do enjoy the occasional quiet moment sitting with you humans—especially if food is involved!

Now, I must confess, I have a few quirks. I had some behavioral challenges that led to my arrival at Birdline, including moments of unpredictability and occasional nips. My bites aren’t too hard—just enough to surprise you! Because of this, I need to be handled with care and wouldn’t be the best fit for a home with young children. I don’t have a preference between men and women, but one thing is certain: my heart belongs to Mojo.

Now, let me introduce you to Mojo—the beautiful green love of my life. She has quite the story herself. Mojo was found injured on a road with a broken wing and clipped feathers. During her recovery, she bonded with me, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Unfortunately, her wing didn’t heal perfectly, so while she can spread her wings, she isn’t as confident in the air as I am. Instead, she prefers to stay close to our cozy cage, keeping a watchful eye on our toys and food.

Mojo isn’t as tame as I am, but she’s never aggressive. She can be a bit noisy when I take flight—only because she worries about losing sight of me. But the moment she finds me again, she returns to her usual quiet and timid self. That’s just one of the many things I adore about her.

Together, we enjoy listening to the radio during the day and gazing out of the window. I love a good misting bath, but Mojo is still warming up to the idea. With time, I’m sure she’ll come to enjoy it as much as I do! We like having our cage open so we can come and go as we please, and after a good exploration session, we always return to our familiar and toy-filled home. We have plenty of perches, mirrors, bells, and chewable goodies to keep us entertained. At bedtime, we like to be covered up from 8:00 PM to 8:30 AM for a restful sleep.

When it comes to food, we thrive on Avian Specific 45 and/or 35, along with delicious treats like hemp seeds, pistachios, and cashews. Our diet also includes fresh fruits and vegetables—apples, grapes, broccoli, sweetcorn, bananas, sugar snap peas, and carrots. To stay healthy, we receive supplements like Calcivet and AviPro as needed. But if there’s one treat that truly gets us excited, it’s a tasty walnut!

Now, we’re looking for a calm and patient home—one with enough space for our cage and daily flying adventures. Whether you’re a single person or a couple, we don’t demand much interaction; we’re just happy spending time together. You could say we’re like two peas in a pod, keeping each other company and bringing joy to those around us.

If you have the patience, love, and space to welcome us into your home, we promise to fill it with our charm, color, and playful energy. Come be a part of our world—we can’t wait to meet you!
