Meet Charlie and Tiny Parrots

Tiny’s Introduction:

Hey there! I’m Tiny, the stunning Green Wing Macaw and the self-proclaimed Diva of the two. At 13 years old, I’m full of charm and energy. Snuggles are my absolute favorite thing—I love being perched on your lap, hiding in your hoodie, or even sneaking into your t-shirt. If you work from home, I’ll be your perfect little assistant, ensuring you do everything perfectly while sitting right next to you.

I’m also a dancing queen! I have an undeniable passion for dancing and singing, and my side-step moves to ABBA tunes are top-notch. Plus, I absolutely love waving at anyone who enters the house—I’m just so friendly!

My Safehouse Dad is my best friend, and while my Safehouse Mum takes care of feeding and treats, I’m definitely a man’s bird. If I’m not getting enough attention, I may throw a little diva tantrum (don’t judge, I’m fabulous!), but with a face and feathers like mine, how could anyone resist?

Now, let me hand things over to Charlie…

Charlie’s Introduction:

Hey, everyone! I’m Charlie, the 25-year-old Blue and Gold Macaw. Unlike Tiny, I’m a bit more on the reserved side, but I definitely love people. I enjoy cuddles and head tickles from my Safehouse Mum, and I like to snuggle close, tucking my head under her chin. My Safehouse Dad also gives me affection, but I’m not as fussy as Tiny. I prefer to observe the world from a distance—whether I’m perched on my cage, a chair, or a stand. I also enjoy exploring the floor when I feel like it.

Tiny and I share a special bond—we do everything together, from grooming and feeding each other to sleeping on the same perch. Our favorite treats are the more luxurious ones, like pistachios and cashews.

While we live with other birds and dogs, it doesn’t bother us, though Tiny can get a little jealous if Dad shows affection to anyone else. We also absolutely love little humans! We always say hello, though we haven’t ventured outside the cage when they’re around. Little humans = food, and we just love a tasty treat!

We’re both pretty chill—nothing really fazes us, not even the vacuum cleaner. Oh, and we’re harness trained, but we’ll need some time to build our confidence for outings since it’s been a while since we last went out.

What We’re Looking For:

If you have plenty of time to spend with us, a spacious area for our massive cage, and a love for cuddles and snuggling, then we might just be the perfect match for you. We’re easy-going birds who enjoy our routine, so you’ll find we go to bed without complaints when covered and wake up when uncovered.
