Meet Bow – A Beautiful & Independent Blue Fronted Amazon! 🦜✨

Hello! My name is Bow, and I am a stunning 18-year-old Blue Fronted Amazon looking for an experienced and understanding home.

I may not be a hands-on bird, but I still enjoy interacting from a distance. I’m not suited for an aviary because I love chatting with people through my cage bars. However, I do have a history of being overly defensive, so I need someone who respects my boundaries.

My Personality & Preferences

✔️ I do not like being touched, handled, stroked, or asked to step up. If you try, I will warn you with a lunge—but I don’t usually escalate to biting unless I feel truly threatened.
✔️ I have been known to dive bomb humans unpredictably, so I need an experienced, observant owner who understands bird body language.
✔️ That said, I am a good boy (I even say so myself!) and love to chat, laugh, and interact in my own way.
✔️ I have a bit of a cheeky side—occasionally dropping an F-bomb and then laughing at myself. I also say “Hello,” “Good boy,” “Woop woop,” and blow kisses! 💋

🎶 Chatting and dancing with other birds (though I don’t physically interact with them)
⏳ A consistent routine—I like knowing what to expect each day.

My Ideal Home

🏡 Experienced bird owner who understands my need for space.
🚫 No young children—a busy household with running kids would make me too anxious.
🐶 Calm dogs are fine—they don’t faze me.
🦜 Other birds are okay, but I prefer my own space.
🛖 A large cage where I can feel safe and comfortable, with the choice to come out on my own terms.

Other Important Notes

🧼 I’m fine with bowl and paper changes, but full cage cleaning makes me nervous. My safehouse mom usually distracts me while someone else cleans.
🚪 I’m still working on my confidence with coming out of my cage. My door is left open, but some days I just prefer to stay in. Food helps coax me back at dinner time!

I know I’m not the easiest bird, but I am full of personality, charm, and conversation. If you respect my space and let me interact on my own terms, I will be a wonderful and entertaining companion.
